Van Qualifies 2nd

Van claimed 2nd spot during qualifiers for X Games Street yesterday. Garrett Reynolds was the only guy to outscore him and he’s claimed all the X Street events that have been abroad thus far this year. Good luck to Van during finals. Shoot over to BMXOnline for complete coverage. Photos and video of qualifiers are already up.

Warm it up Chris!

Here’s a little Doyle spot filmed and edited by our head dude in charge of all things video, WP Stroud. Also, we’re wishing the D Man the best of luck as he tackles the super park at X this week.

Empire Of Dirt

Bohan was able to take the win this past weekend at the Empire Of Dirt contest that was put on by Red Bull and the Forte Family. Just another impressive contest win to add to the list. There are some poached pictures after the jump of both Corey and Doyle. Head on over to BMXOnline for full coverage. Read More >>

Corey, Chris, Scotty, Van…and Corey???

We’re pleased to announce that Corey Martinez is the newest member of the DUO crew. I think we’re going to have to start listing the team by last names. I also think it’s about time for a team road trip. Doyle, Bohan, Homan, Cranmer, and Martinez. Sounds like a good time to me…

“Magnetic Movie”

Magnetic Movie from Semiconductor on Vimeo.

Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt were artists-in-residence at NASA’s Space Science Laboratories, UC Berkeley, and members of Semiconductor. With their art and science background they made a film in which they bring invisible magnetic fields to life. It really makes you question whether or not you’re watching a really gnarly experiment, something supernatural, or just some really good editing. Regardless, the film has won multiple awards abroad and looks really cool. For more information go here.

Vive Le Tour

Just a note to let everyone know Le Tour starts on Saturday. And just another note to let everyone know that road cycling isn’t as gay as you think it is. While I’ll admit skin-tight neon colored Lycra isn’t as cool as skin-tight jeans and black t-shirts, going 55mph on a 15 pound bike is insanely fun (scary). Aren’t kids trying to get their bikes down to 15 pounds anyways? Hell, most BMX bikes today would match Team Lampre’s Lycra perfectly. Let’s hope SLC’s Dave Zabriskie makes it past the first week.

Super 8 Flick

Here is a cool little edit of Corey Bohan and Colin Mackay that was filmed on 8mm B&W film. I’ve always loved 8mm film and definitely think that it’s very underused in BMX. Cost may be an issue, but it’s damn cool looking. Found on Defgrip.

Bohan’s Whip

Ride has a bike check up with Corey. Shoot over there to check out his setup.
