Vive Le Tour
Just a note to let everyone know Le Tour starts on Saturday. And just another note to let everyone know that road cycling isn’t as gay as you think it is. While I’ll admit skin-tight neon colored Lycra isn’t as cool as skin-tight jeans and black t-shirts, going 55mph on a 15 pound bike is insanely fun (scary). Aren’t kids trying to get their bikes down to 15 pounds anyways? Hell, most BMX bikes today would match Team Lampre’s Lycra perfectly. Let’s hope SLC’s Dave Zabriskie makes it past the first week.

Dave Z’s back is still fucked from the Giro & not doing the Tour. Rode a canyon with him 2 weeks ago & for a guy that just cracked a vertebra just 3 months ago he still kicked my ass to the top. He’s going to the Olympics this year & doing the road race & the time trial. Crashing at 55mph on a road bike is like jumping out of a car in you underwear.
